Search Terms
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. Ottawa County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s own privacy terms apply to its handling of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or submit a contact message, we keep the information needed to read and answer it. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard web technology can create technical records when a page loads. Those records help operate the Ottawa County resource, measure performance, and identify faults. They may include:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit
- Browser name and browser version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages opened and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- Date and time stamps for requests

We do not sell personal information. Information may still be processed or disclosed in these limited settings:

Standard safeguards are used to protect information within our control. No internet-connected service, transmission method, or storage system is fully secure. We therefore cannot promise that information will never be accessed, lost, altered, or disclosed without authorization.
Use by Minors
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent personal information may use the Get in Touch page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the type of information involved, a user may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal information we hold
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information where appropriate
- Stop certain forms of processing where a right to opt out applies
